Role Overview

As a Software Development student at Centric, you'll work alongside our development team on real Odoo and business technology projects. This is a hands-on placement designed to build practical experience across the full development process — writing and testing code, working with databases and APIs, and supporting system integrations. You'll be mentored throughout and take on more responsibility as your skills grow.

This role is ideal for a student who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems, and wants real exposure to how software is built and delivered in a business environment.

Preferred

  • Exposure to Python projects (academic or personal)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or PostgreSQL databases
  • Familiarity with APIs
  • Understanding of version control (Git)
  • Any experience with data handling or automation
  • Experience in ERP implementation or technical support

Essential

  • Good understanding in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts
  • Some familiarity with Python
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Willingness to learn and act on feedback
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Fluency in English
